Slider Text Animation

Can anyone tell me how I can get the text on the Slider to appear EXACTLY at it is on the Demo, (slides 1 and 2, especially). I've tried even simple settings, nothing works. The text always just appears flat on the image, 12pt, plain and no transition whatsoever.
